Prompts are quick AI actions you can use on any text across the web. Learn how to use them effectively and customize which ones appear in your menu.
🚀Using Prompts
Right-Click Menu
- Select text on any webpage
- Right-click on the selected text
- Select a prompt from the list
- The AI will process your text instantly!
📋Available Default Prompts
BaseReply comes with these built-in prompts ready to use:
Writing & Editing
- Fix Grammar – Corrects grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Improve Writing – Enhances clarity and flow
- Make Professional – Rewrites in formal business tone
- Make Casual – Converts to friendly, conversational style
- Simplify – Makes text easier to understand
- Expand – Adds more detail and context
Communication
- Write Email – Creates a professional email
- Reply to Email – Generates an appropriate response
- Make Polite – Softens tone and adds courtesy
- Summarize – Condenses text to key points
Content Creation
- Generate Ideas – Brainstorms related concepts
- Create Outline – Structures content into sections
- Add Examples – Includes relevant examples

🔄Quick Actions on Prompts
In the Prompts settings page, you can:
View Details
- Click on a prompt name to see its full instruction text
- Understand what the prompt does
- Check if it matches your needs
Edit Prompt
- Click the Edit button ✏️
- Modify the prompt name
- Change the instruction text
- Update the icon
- Save changes
Hide/Unhide
- Click the eye icon 👁️
- Toggle visibility on/off
- Takes effect immediately
Delete Prompt
- Click the Delete button 🗑️
- Confirm deletion
- Prompt is permanently removed
Warning: You cannot delete built-in prompts, only custom ones you created.
📱The Floating AI Menu
When you select text on any webpage, the floating menu appears with your visible prompts.
What You’ll See:
- ✅ All visible prompts (eye icon on)
- 📝 Prompts
- 👤 Agent options (if you have agents)
What You Won’t See:
- 👁️🗨️ Hidden prompts (eye icon off)
- ❌ Deleted prompts
- 🔒 Disabled prompts
